Workshop Operative - FLT experience proof of training required.

08:30-17:00 Mon-Thurs 08:30-15:00 Friday

£13.00-£13.50 per hour (38 hours)

Overtime paid at x1.5 after 38 hours

Full Time - Temp-Perm

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking 'workshop assistant' to join a busy and successful family run business based in Rugby.

Due to the nature of the products this company deals with you may get a bit grubby- this is not a pristine warehouse environment.

This is a varied role working in a small team and duties will include:

andmiddot; Receiving inbound deliveries - booking onto the system.

andmiddot; Quality checking products - inspecting damage, missing parts etc.

andmiddot; Recycle parts and sort other parts for scrap.

andmiddot; Operate the Counterbalance to: load, unload and move large stock.

andmiddot; At times you may be required to assist with deliveries using the company van (21+, no more than 6 points required for insurance)

andmiddot; Operative workshop equipment such as: hand pools, grinders and plasma cutters as and when required.

What the perfect candidate looks like:

andmiddot; Local to Rugby and has a full driver's license ( age 21+, no more than 6 points required for insurance)

andmiddot; Previous counterbalance experience and proof of training

andmiddot; Happy with a hands on, varied role with manual handling of stainless steel products.

andmiddot; Punctual and reliable

andmiddot; Good attention to detail

andmiddot; Experience using hand tools and or power tools

andmiddot; Previous experience working in a workshop/manufacturing facility is preferred - this is a not your typical warehouse role.

• Receive and check off incoming deliveries and equipment.
• Inspect items for damage, faults, or missing parts and report accordingly.
• Strip equipment for reusable parts and process scrap collections.
• Operate a forklift safely to move, load, and unload goods.
• Organise and store items efficiently within the warehouse/workshop.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment at all times.
• Prepare and deliver equipment to various sites when required.
• Assist with general workshop duties and support other team members as needed.
