Toolmaker | Clacton-on-Sea | £40,000 - £45,000 | Excellent benefits package

Are you an experienced Toolmaker looking for the opportunity to take the next step in your career?

We're looking for a skilled Toolmaker to join a growing engineering business. This is a hands-on role working on the manufacture, repair and modification of injection mould tools, with a clear pathway to progress into a Toolmaking & Management position as you develop.

The Role:

• Repair and modify injection mould tools
• Manufacture new mould tools to specification
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Carry out bench fitting and finishing work
• Operate manual mills, lathes, surface grinders and spark eroders
• Support CNC milling operations
• Work with Mazak/Mazatrol and Bridgeport/Heidenhain systems
• Support projects and take on increasing responsibility as you progress

About You:

We're looking for someone with:

• Proven Toolmaking experience, ideally within injection mould tooling
• Strong bench fitting skills
• Experience with manual milling, turning and grinding
• Manual spark erosion experience
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
• Wire erosion and CNC milling experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided
