Job Description
The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Support pupils with their educational, social and emotional development.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible activities.
  • Help promote positive behaviour and encourage independence.
  • Support pupils throughout the school day, including during break and lunch periods.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and staff.


The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about working with children and young people with SEN.
  • Patient, caring and understanding.
  • Confident supporting pupils with challenging or complex needs.
  • Reliable and enthusiastic.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Previous experience working within an SEN, ALN, care or education setting is desirable but not essential.


Requirements

  • Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service required.
  • Previous experience working with SEN/ALN pupils is highly desirable.
  • References covering your recent employment/education history.
  • Right to work in the UK.
