Quality Controller - Witham
Pay Rate: -13.00ph
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Prime Appointments are recruiting for a Quality Controller to join a busy and fast-paced food production environment in Witham.
This is a Temp to Perm opportunity, offering long-term stability for someone with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience within a quality-focused role.
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Controller:
- Monitoring Critical Control Points (CCPs)
- Carrying out product quality and temperature checks
- Completing glass and hard plastic inspections
- Performing shelf-life assessments
- Supporting micro sampling and factory swabbing activities
- Verifying label print and date code accuracy
- Conducting scale and equipment calibration checks
- Assisting with pre-start and production changeover checks
- Ensuring production and quality paperwork is completed accurately
- Escalating any quality or safety concerns promptly
- Maintaining Clean as You Go standards
- Working closely with the Quality and Production teams
Requirements:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous experience within an FMCG or food manufacturing and production environment is desirable
- Ability to follow procedures and production schedules accurately
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude and team-focused approach
- Willingness to learn and develop - full training provided
- Basic understanding of quality or food safety standards would be advantageous
