The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Packing Line Operative or Team Leader looking for the next step in your career within a fast-paced production environment?

Our client is looking for a motivated and hands-on individual to help lead and develop their packing team, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, efficiency and food safety.

This is an important role within the packing operation, combining machine operation, team coordination and continuous improvement. You'll work closely with the Team Leader to ensure production lines run smoothly, products are packed to customer specifications and operational targets are consistently met.

You'll also play a key role in reducing downtime, maintaining accurate production records and promoting a positive, quality-focused working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Packing Line Operations: Operate and monitor packing machinery, ensuring production lines run efficiently and daily targets are achieved.

Team Coordination: Support the Team Leader in coordinating the packing team, managing resources and ensuring employees understand their responsibilities.

Production Performance: Ensure production plans are followed, including line sequencing, hourly targets and daily KPIs.

Quality Assurance: Maintain high product quality standards, ensuring finished products meet customer specifications and adopting a right-first-time approach.

Machine Maintenance: Ensure machinery is kept in good working order, report faults promptly and support changeovers to minimise downtime.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to production processes, line efficiency and overall performance.

What You'll Bring

Production Experience: Previous experience within a packing line, manufacturing or production environment would be advantageous.

Machine Operation: Confidence operating production or packaging machinery and supporting line changeovers.

Teamwork & Leadership: The ability to support colleagues, coordinate workloads and contribute to a positive team environment.

Attention to Detail: A careful and methodical approach to quality checks, production paperwork and traceability.

Quality Focus: A commitment to maintaining high standards and ensuring products meet customer expectations.

Communication: Good written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
