Process Safety Engineer
Job Description
As a Process Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for driving and enhancing process safety standards across a key manufacturing site based in Kingston Upon Hull.

Description
The Process Safety Engineer will be responsible for, however not limited to;
- Providing specialist technical support across process safety within site operations and capital projects
- Leading and facilitate process hazard analyses, including HAZOP, LOPA, and Process Risk Assessments
- Supporting and govern Management of Change (MoC) processes to ensure effective risk mitigation
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to embed best-in-class process safety tools and methodologies
- Driving improvements in process safety performance, risk reduction, and asset reliability
- Leading or supporting incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Ensuring delivery of risk assessments and associated actions in line with agreed timelines
- Developing and implement performance metrics, reporting frameworks, and governance structures to strengthen safety performance
Profile
A successful Process Safety Engineer should have:
- A degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven knowledge of process safety principles and regulations.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify potential risks.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
