Plater opportunities with our client located in the Fife area. These at a 3 month rolling contract with a strong likelihood of extension
Location: Fife
Role: Platers
Starts: Immediately subject to security clearance
Rate: Days £24.20 per hour + £8.90 per hour travel allowance (TA is only paid for candidates who live 39 miles or more from site!)

Job Description
Manual or machine steel fabrication to form individual components and the subsequent assembly of those components to form assemblies, units and blocks, and ship structures. Projects will cover a range of steel structures across the naval, marine, and repair sectors and the role will require flexibility between New-Build structural steel fabrication and Ship Repair projects.
We're looking for:
- Maintenance of a Safe working environment
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Set-out/mark-off work
- Cutting and fabrication of structural steel, (plate & profile sections)
- Erect, align, set and tack steel parts and assemblies in Shops or Dock environment
- Working of steel fabrication machinery and shop cranes
- Hand burning using oxyfuel equipment
Please note: Candidates will be responsible for arranging and covering their own accommodation and transportation.
All successful candidates will be required to complete BPSS security clearance as part of the onboarding process
