Night Shift Engineer
Salary: c.£60,000 + overtime + benefits Shift Pattern: Permanent nights Commutable from: Huntingdon, St Neots, Peterborough, Cambridge, St Ives
Our client is a large, well-established FMCG business supplying major retailers across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Night Shift Engineer to their engineering team.
The Role
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of high-speed production and processing equipment
Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency
Work closely with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with food safety standards
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activity
What We're Looking For
A recognised engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent apprenticeship)
Multi-skilled engineering background, electrical bias preferred but not essential
Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, or a similarly fast-paced production environment
Willingness to work permanent nights
A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
