Hours of work 7.40am - 4.30pm Monday - Thursday
7.40am - 12.20pm Friday
Plenty of overtime available

About the MIG/TIG Welder Role
Bamford Contract Services are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join a well-established manufacturing business in Manchester.
Our client operates a modern manufacturing facility specialising in high-quality, high-volume precision sheet metal fabrication, providing services across CNC punching, laser cutting, bending, forming, welding, powder coating, painting, machining, fabrication and assembly.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, reliable and hardworking Welder looking for a long-term permanent position within a professional manufacturing environment.

MIG/TIG Welder Key Responsibilities
- MIG and TIG welding of sheet metal components
- Welding stainless steel and mild steel to a high standard
- Working with materials ranging from 0.7mm stainless steel up to 10mm mild steel
- Producing high-quality, accurate welds to specification
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality
- Working safely and efficiently within a busy production environment

MIG/TIG Welder Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' welding experience
- Time-served Welder
- Proven experience in both MIG and TIG welding
- Previous sheet metal welding/fabrication experience is essential
- Strong experience welding stainless steel
- Ability to weld to a high standard
- TIG coding/certification would be advantageous
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable and hardworking approach
