Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Job Type:-Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced-Manufacturing Quality Engineer / Quality Engineer-to join a growing manufacturing business.

The successful candidate will work closely with-internal teams, customers and the wider supply chain-to drive continual improvement, investigate non-conformances and monitor key performance indicators across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-focused Quality or Manufacturing Engineer looking to play an important role within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile and review-FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports), including the use of-Net-Inspect.
  • Carry out-containment activities-where required.
  • Raise, review and submit-PPAPs-in line with individual customer requirements.
  • Conduct-internal and external audits, as well as supporting and hosting customer and third-party audits.
  • Control and maintain required-standards, data cards and manufacturing sequences.
  • Manage and monitor-Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Investigate non-conformances and support-continual improvement-across the business.
  • Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal departments to ensure quality requirements are met.

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Well organised, proactive and highly-detail-oriented.
  • Customer focused, with a strong commitment to delivering high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • A confident communicator who can work effectively with-customers, suppliers and internal departments.
  • IT proficient, with good working knowledge of-Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas.
  • Educated to-A-Level standard or equivalent, or higher.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

You should have a good understanding of:

  • APQP
  • PPAP
  • PFMEA
  • Control Plans
  • MSA
  • RCCA, including 8D, 3C and PIR
  • FAIRs
  • AS9100
  • Microsoft Office / Microsoft software
  • Internal auditing

You will also need to be-confident dealing with customers at all levels-and comfortable working across different areas of the business.
