Your new company
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a forward-thinking public sector organisation as an IT Project Manager within its Information Services division. Working as part of a well-established Programme Management Office (PMO), you will play a key role in delivering strategic projects and business change initiatives that support the institution's digital transformation and operational objectives.

Your new role
As the IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading a diverse portfolio of projects from initiation through to completion. These will include technology implementations, business change programmes, service improvements and infrastructure-related projects.


You will manage project plans, budgets, risks, issues and governance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and to budget. Working closely with senior stakeholders, project boards and suppliers, you will drive engagement, facilitate business requirements gathering and provide regular reporting on project progress and outcomes.


In addition, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the PMO, helping to enhance project management standards, governance frameworks, reporting processes and supporting tools across the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Significant project management experience within a large and complex organisation
  • A proven track record of delivering multiple concurrent IT and business change projects through the full project lifecycle
  • Experience using recognised project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, APM or P3O
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
  • Experience managing project budgets, risks, resources and governance processes
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project, SharePoint and Microsoft 365 technologies
  • Experience delivering business change, digital transformation and process improvement initiatives


Desirable experience includes:

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ or similar qualification
  • ITIL certification
  • PMO development and governance experience
  • Lean process improvement knowledge
