Graduate Instrumentation & Monitoring Technician

Location: Oxford | Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

A specialist engineering consultancy is strengthening its technical team and is looking for a Graduate Instrumentation & Monitoring Technician to join its growing operation. The company delivers advanced fibre-optic monitoring solutions for major ground engineering and structural projects across the UK and overseas.

As a Graduate Instrumentation & Monitoring Technician, you'll assist with installing and preparing specialist monitoring equipment, including fibre-optic systems, on construction sites. You'll also develop skills in dataloggers and monitoring software, undertake equipment checks, maintain project records and contribute to site safety documentation.

The Graduate Instrumentation & Monitoring Technician role involves regular travel, occasional overnight stays and some short-notice or out-of-hours work.

What you'll need

  • BSc-level qualification in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology or a related discipline

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Full right to work in the UK

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Previous site experience or a CSCS card would be advantageous

  • Living in or near Oxford, within reasonable commuting distance of the office
