We're recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a professional commercial vehicle workshop in Northampton.

The role operates on a rotating early and late shift pattern, giving you variety while maintaining a structured Monday-to-Friday working week.

The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for:
andmiddot;Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs and commercial vehicles.
andmiddot;Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
andmiddot;Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults.
andmiddot;Carrying out defect repairs and ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard.
andmiddot;Using diagnostic equipment and technical information to identify and resolve faults.
andmiddot;Following manufacturer procedures and workshop standards.
andmiddot;Completing job cards and repair documentation accurately.
andmiddot;Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
andmiddot;Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
andmiddot;Working as part of a professional team to minimise vehicle downtime.
Shift Pattern
Early Shift
Monday - Thursday: 6:00am - 3:30pm
Friday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Late Shift
Monday - Thursday: 12:30pm - 10:00pm
Friday: 12:30pm - 9:00pm
Saturday
7:00am/8:00am - 12:00pm
Saturday hours are paid at overtime rates.
44 hours per week.

About You
We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician with:
andmiddot;Level 3 qualification or equivalent in HGV / Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
andmiddot;Previous experience servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs.
andmiddot;Strong mechanical and diagnostic fault-finding skills.
andmiddot;A reliable and professional approach to work.
andmiddot;Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
andmiddot;The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
andmiddot;A willingness to continue developing technical skills.
A full UK Driving Licence is preferred.
