The Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust formed by the Diocese of Lincoln in 2013. We are a growing and thriving family of schools dedicated to providing an excellent education for pupils across Lincolnshire. We have grown to serve twenty-four academies across three local authorities of Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, and North-East Lincolnshire.
Headteacher - The Role:
As Headteacher, you will drive the creation and implementation of a distinctly Christian vision within your school. You will provide professional leadership responsible for the efficient day-to-day and strategic management of the school as part of LAAT, leading the school community to promote positive attitudes to learning. You will work collaboratively across the Trust, understanding that we operate as one organisation working in partnership to achieve the best outcomes for all pupils. You may be required to work in any Trust school as directed.
Headteacher - Key Responsibilities:
- Embed the Trust and local school vision into all areas of the role, challenging and supporting others to do the same
- Lead teaching and learning outcomes, supporting curriculum development and innovation to ensure pupils receive a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum
- Establish creative and effective approaches to learning, setting high expectations and stretching targets, with robust monitoring and improvement strategies
- Manage the school environment efficiently with the Operations Partner, ensuring resources are monitored and evaluated to improve education quality and value for money
- Develop and implement organisational structures, a focused School Development Plan, and accurate Self Evaluation that reflects current school performance
- Lead safeguarding as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the school is a safe place with robust procedures and compliance with statutory guidance
- Build strong community links, collaborate with other agencies, and promote the Trust's ethos and values through community events and communications
Headteacher - You:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status with a completed NQT year and evidence of significant continuing professional development
- Demonstrate substantial experience as a Headteacher, Deputy Head or Head of School with a sustained record of school improvement
- Possess proven expertise in financial and resource management, effective personnel management, and leading educational initiatives
- Have strong understanding of Church of England mission and vision, and the Diocese of Lincoln context
- Show ability to build, communicate and implement vision, lead change and innovation, and motivate others
- Demonstrate current safeguarding training and awareness of child protection legislation, with an enhanced DBS clearance requirement
- Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written), IT proficiency including spreadsheet and accounting software, and resilience
