Location: Cambridge (CB25) Duration: Ongoing with the potential to go temp to permHours: 8.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday with an hours lunch break (35 hours per week)Salary: Up to -14.50 per hour depending on experienceJob Reference: 36313We are looking for an organised and reliable Goods In / Stores Person to join a busy manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for receiving and checking incoming materials, maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring components are available for production and project builds.Responsibilities- Receive and check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes- Inspect incoming components for damage and obvious quality issues- Check sheet metal and precision-machined parts against drawings- Accurately record goods received using an ERP/MRP system- Kit and issue materials for production and project builds- Maintain an organised stores, warehouse and WIP areas- Carry out stock checks and investigate inventory discrepancies- Monitor stock levels and highlight potential shortages- Process returned and rejected materials in conjunction with Production and Quality- Safely handle materials using pallet trucks, trolleys and other equipmentRequirements- 1-2 years' experience in a stores, warehouse or inventory role- Ideally, experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment- Basic computer skills and experience using an ERP/MRP system- Good attention to detail, particularly when checking part numbers and quantities- Organised and proactive approach to work- Comfortable with a physically active role involving lifting, bending and standing- Able to work effectively in a busy environment where priorities can changePlease contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below!
