Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 5:30pm | Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are delighted to be supporting a successful and forward-thinking organisation with the appointment of an experienced Estimator to join their expanding estimating team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional with experience in construction, civil engineering, manufacturing or a related technical environment to take on a varied and rewarding role working across a diverse range of commercial projects.
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and commercially competitive cost estimates, reviewing project requirements, supporting commercial decision-making and working closely with suppliers, customers and internal teams to help ensure projects are delivered successfully, efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities
andmiddot; Review and assess project enquiries, drawings and specifications to determine scope, requirements and commercial considerations.
andmiddot; Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and quotations using company estimating systems.
andmiddot; Interpret technical drawings, schedules and specifications to ensure accurate project pricing.
andmiddot; Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain competitive quotations, product information and lead times.
andmiddot; Evaluate supplier pricing and identify opportunities for cost savings and commercial efficiencies.
andmiddot; Carry out Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) to monitor project financial performance and profitability.
andmiddot; Support Main Contract Reviews, including programme requirements, delivery schedules and commercial obligations.
andmiddot; Monitor project profitability through regular monthly commercial reviews.
andmiddot; Assist with procurement activities and supplier negotiations where required.
andmiddot; Work collaboratively with Sales Estimating, Design, Operations and Logistics teams to support successful project delivery.
andmiddot; Triage incoming enquiries, identifying potential opportunities and allocating suitable enquiries to the Sales Estimating team.
andmiddot; Maintain accurate estimating records and project information across CRM and business management systems.
andmiddot; Support effective project handovers to operational teams, ensuring all commercial and estimating information is complete and accurate.
andmiddot; Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures, quality standards and ISO requirements.
About You
You will be a highly organised and commercially aware professional with excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and numerical skills.
You will ideally have experience working within an estimating, commercial or project-based environment and be comfortable interpreting technical drawings, specifications and project information.

Desirable Experience
The following experience would be advantageous:
andmiddot; Previous estimating experience within construction, civil engineering or manufacturing.
andmiddot; Experience within construction materials, hard landscaping or a related sector.
andmiddot; Experience preparing commercial cost estimates and quotations.
andmiddot; CAD experience.
andmiddot; Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
andmiddot; Experience carrying out Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR).
andmiddot; Knowledge of contract administration and commercial project management.
andmiddot; Experience working with international supply chains and overseas manufacturers.
