Maintenance Engineer - Electrical and Mechanical
Electrical biased - Regular days - 37 hours per week basic hours
Salary / rate: £20 to £21 per hour + overtime + insurance depending on experience
Job type: Permanent position, immediate start
Location: Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire

Hours: 7-30am to 4-30pm mon to thurs; 7-30am to 2pm every other Friday (making a 9 day fortnight) - with some ad hoc overtime (obviously as this is a maintenance role)
Maintenance Engineer - Electrical and Mechanical - Benefits:
- 24 days holiday per year
- 2 x basic annual salary death in service benefit
- Sickness insurance (subject to acceptance / conditions from insurance company) of 75% of basic pay for up to 12 months
- 9 day fortnight so lots of long weekends
- Weekday overtime at time + 1/3
- Saturday overtime at time + 1/2
Maintenace Engineer - Electrical and Mechanical - The job:
- Ensure all health and safety maintenance requirements are met and according to schedule
- Breakdowns, planned maintenance and improvement projects
- Electrical upgrades / modernisation / re-wiring
- Electrical testing
- Machinery build and installations
- In house power press maintenance (training will be given) - some power press experience would be an advantage but is not essential
- Must be experienced (at least 5 years in an electrical maintenance role) and time served (or modern equivalent) electrician
- Electrical - 17 / 18th edition essential
- Mechanical aptitude essential but the role is electrically biased
- Enthusiasm for hands-on electrical and mechanical engineering and problem solving
- There is always work to do so we are looking for someone happy to use their own initiative and work independently. We have a supportive team environment but, we also value people who are confident in managing their own workload without the need for constant direction.
