Electrical Building Services Engineer

Job Description
An Electrical Building Services Engineer is required in Greater Manchester for a 12-week contract, carrying out building services maintenance with a strong focus on electrical systems and fault finding.

The role requires a qualified electrical engineer who can work independently, identify reactive tasks and provide multi-skilled support to other trades when required.

The Role

As the Electrical Building Services Engineer, you'll:
  • Carry out electrical building services maintenance and respond to reactive requirements.
  • Diagnose faults using a logical and methodical approach.
  • Identify reactive maintenance tasks and work effectively without direct supervision.
  • Support other engineering trades where reasonably required.
  • Contribute effectively within a multi-skilled building services team.
  • Adapt to changing maintenance priorities and operational requirements.
About You

To be successful as the Electrical Building Services Engineer, you'll have:
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installations (2365-03) or an equivalent qualification.
  • City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition qualification.
  • A time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  • Strong building services knowledge and multi-skilled engineering capability.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently and adapt to changing requirements.
  • IPAF, PASMA, HVAC, CAFM/CMMS or BMS experience would be advantageous.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing would also be advantageous.
