Building Clerk/ Technical Clerk
Job Description
Astute's Nuclear team are currently recruiting for a Building Controller / Technical Clerk to support a major project at Sellafield Site. This is a site-based role working a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, covering either 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am.
The role combines building control responsibilities with technical administration and document control, supporting commissioning activities and maintaining project records.
Role responsibilities and key skills:
- Manage the Building Controller pager and associated duties during shifts.
- Open and close the building and coordinate personnel sign-in/out.
- Maintain accurate site personnel numbers and liaise with the Contractors Control Room.
- Complete weekly and monthly emergency exercises and associated paperwork.
- Act as Deputy during site emergencies and support emergency exercises.
- Coordinate and monitor respirators.
- Undertake First Aider and Fire Warden responsibilities.
- Produce, control and maintain Commissioning Lifetime Records.
- Copy, scan, store and retrieve documents through the EDMS.
- Provide general technical administration and document control support.
- Previous experience within a Commissioning Document Control department.
- Experience using SharePoint / Convero preferred.
- Understanding of Sellafield document control systems desirable.
- IOSH Working Safely required.
- Building Controller, First Aid and Fire Warden training desirable.
- BPSS clearance or the ability to obtain BPSS is essential.
Location, shift pattern and timeframe:
- Cumbria
- Site-based - no hybrid/remote working
- 4 days on / 4 days off
- 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am
- Rate: -21.00 per hour
- Contract length: 6 months
- Start date: ASAP
